Well, it was fun while it lasted… The past few months have been great for me on Medium. But they started messing with the Partner Program again, and now my views, reads, and earnings are all plummeting. October wasn’t too bad, but November’s going to be brutal unless I figure something out quick.
They sure keep you on your toes around here…!
It’s not all doom and gloom. October was a pretty good month overall.

You can see presentations, reads, and views all got slashed. Something happened right around October 10, and it’s not just me who’s saying this. Other writers had the same thing happen to them. Medium is constantly fooling around with the Partner Program, and I’m sure this has something to do with it.
They’ve recently made some changes, and whenever that happens, stats drop like a bomb for the more successful writers. It happened to me (and many other writers) around this same time last year.
I’ll be honest, it’s pretty annoying. While I enjoy writing on Medium because of its simplicity, I don’t enjoy the constant ups and downs over there.
But…
When it happens, I choose to look at it as a new, interesting challenge to overcome. I’ll continue testing different topics and ideas and work on getting my stats back up. I’ll let you know what I figure out!
Followers
My followers went from 8,153 last month to over 8,400.
That’s just fine with me. I don’t focus on followers too much because it’s not a stat that matters too much. (Especially if Medium isn’t presenting your stories to them.)
Earnings:
You can see my earnings went down quite a bit. They’re on par with July 2025. In my earnings, you can see that after July, my earnings went back up. Unfortunately, that’s not happening again this month.
My earnings are brutal so far in November.
Again, I’m not going to let it disuade me. This is the nature of the Medium beast. You’ve just got to roll with it…

That’s a far cry from the $100+ articles!

Future Plans
My Intellectualists newsletter has been restarted, and it’s going well so far. As mentioned above, I created a new free 5-day email course, the 2-Hour Side Hustle system.
Here’s how it’s converting:
This is something I’d like to do more of in the future. I enjoyed creating this course and the ebook that goes with it. What I’d like to focus on is creating a series of short but useful ebooks. I think I’m going to create a section on my Gumroad called $9 Buck Solutions. That way, people can easily pick and choose the perfect $9 buck solutions they need.
One more thing…
I have no idea why, but I got the urge to restart my Hustling Housewife Substack.
I think it’s partially because of how unstable Medium is, and partially because I was ready to focus on a specific audience there. ChatGPT helped me figure out the persona to target and is also helping me with the content.

I plan to keep it free for now, but I would like to come up with ways to create another income stream from it. For now, I’ll just focus on helping as many people as I can and growing my subscribers.
